

Hence leaning toward a POF or the excellent JP platforms. That set up would be for longer range than the 5.56 I am thinking of.

Of Course if Colt CM901 or SIG716 gets into the civilian market (who knows when) they too would be worth looking at. I also want a 7.62 platform and I will obviously pay more for that since POF, JP, LMT and LWRC are on that short list and in general 7.62 platform inherently cost more. Think home protecting / CQB duties with a little range capabilities. This wont be the long range gun, more for close range and the occasional medium range engagement. This platform I am looking for something that is very maneuverable and fast in the hand. THe ARs I listed were what I initially found in that price range.
